It's Almost Here...

10:45pm....
I need to finish wrapping all of my Christmas presents but all i can think about is bed.
I have an hour and 15 minutes till midnight mass, I'm hoping i can make it because believe me i wont make it tomorrow. We are not overly religious but not going to church on Christmas feels wrong, not to mention tomorrow when i see my Nonno and he asks if i went to church and i say "no", the look of disappointment on his face is almost enough to convince you that there is no hope for you and hell is where you re going to end up... and nobody likes disappointing there Nonno!

I cant wait to sit around the table pop bon bons, wear those stupid hats you get, eat loads of food, drink some bourbon and hang out my cousins..... My favourite part of Christmas is my cousins.

My cousin Elyse is by far my favourite cousin on both sides of my family, i love that on Christmas day we are going to have heaps of photos of the both of us being silly and enjoying ourselves. Sometimes i forget she is only 15. I am closer with her then i am my sisters, for that i am thankful.

Merry Christmas!

Potato my arse.....

I just peeled, cut and cooked 48 potatoes for a potato salad. All 21 people attending Christmas better try my salad or i will throw a fit!!?
I should probably be in bed but its 11pm and its still 28c outside. The whole house is cool because of that wonderful thing called air-conditioning.... all except my room which is bloody hot and i cant sleep.
I'm so going to have nightmares about potatoes tonight!

CHRISTMAS CAN BITE ME!!!

Argh..... Can Christmas be over yet?
I'm well and truly over everything....
Rude people
busy car parks
PEOPLE EVERYWHERE!!!
Bring on Christmas day and all the food and pressies and cousins!

How does it work?

I had the day off work today because i still felt like arse this morning.
Its now 3pm and i suprisingly feel a whole lot better after sleeping literally all day.
So a "Friend" of mine has recently been on a contiki tour of Europe where he met and fell in love with a Scottish girl. However he has since returned home and she is at this point in time living in London. This is what i don't understand....
They are together, they are being completely faithful to each other even though they live on completely opposite sides of the world. They skype everyday and in January she is hopefully coming here on a holiday. If they can manage it then kudos to them.
She will eventually be going to live in Korea for work. If in the near future it looked like both of them would be living in the same country let alone the same city i can totally see the point of staying together. However when both of them have commitments tying them to the place they are in now what is the point?
It is far too expensive to fly back and forth to see each other.
Whilst skype is great to keep in touch, how long can one go without the physical side of a relationship?
I do know a couple of people who have dropped everything to move across the globe to be with the one they love.
Take my Friend Kate, she met her husband to be whilst working on a cruise, he moved here from Saskatoon after the cruise ended, he now has permanent residency here in Australia, they are getting married in March and they have never been happier. This i somewhat get.
But when neither of you is willing to make that "big move" how does it work? What is the point?
Not too mention how does one of you (if you are actually going to try and make it work) leave all your family, your friends, your home for the last however long, leave pretty much your entire life behind and move so far away?!
I'm sure whoever reads this... if anyone... will say "LOVE".
But can love really fill the void of absolutely everything you leave behind?

Sickly McSickness.

I feel terrible,
I have had a chest infection for over a week and the antibiotics just aren't working!
Now i have started vomiting and overall i just feel shitful.

To make matters worse the temperature tomorrow is suppose to be 32c and then Wednesday is going to be 39c... i honestly thought the super hot weather would hold off for just a little while longer! I know I'm a sook but seriously give me winter any day, there is nothing better then curling up in front of a fire to keep warm.I hate more then anything leaving work, getting into your boiling hot car waiting for the air-con to kick in then getting home, stripping off and trying to cool down.

I hate it.

I think i need to move somewhere that snows.

BIRTHDAY LOVE!

Happy 52nd Birthday old man!!
We fight like cat and dog and 90% of the time we want to kill each other but mucho love dadsy!

Finally a post with photos!

Another Christmas party has come and gone. Our Christmas parties are always the greatest, however this year things went a little pear shaped. I wont go into too much detail, but work and ex work colleagues and their families that were also there ended up having a fight. Punches were thrown people were hurt and complete chaos broke out.
Now as usual i didn't see anything that actually happened because i was outside keeping all the smokers company.
As i walked back in everyone who was involved were escorted out another exit. So i strolled up to the bar and continued drinking and ordering shots completely oblivious that anything had in fact happened.
Eventually when i did find out the action was way over and both parties had left.
Now i don't know what really went down but considering you are at a WORK function one would assume you check your shit at the door and collect it when you leave. The fact that all people involved had the audacity to do this just completely astounds me.
I'm not taking sides or getting involved but honestly i thought everyone was supposed to be adults?!
Once the initially shock wore off everyone went back to enjoying the night but i tell you i am not looking forward to work tomorrow!
I didn't think i had drunk that much until i work up yesterday morning, i cant remember the last time i woke up feeling that sorry for myself.
As usual i started off looking semi decent... but after going through the photos i see that i kind of fall apart by the end of the night as i sure you will see.
Just a couple of my favs from the night...
Christmas lights
i love that people go all out with their lights!

Me at the beginning of the night! while i still looked respectable!

Ed and Tim

Matt and I

Ed actually smiling and not being Zoolander which was great!

Frontend Bitches!

Ash Mash!!

I told you things got messy!!
I don't even like beer.... yet here i am swigging out if the bottle... all class!

Apart from all the drama the night was actually a whole lot of fun.
I wonder if we will be allowed to ever have a Christmas party ever again!?

Letter to Santa...

Dear Mr. Claus,

I'm sure by now you are aware of just how well behaved i have been this year (apart for a few little things that i probably shouldn't have done... but hey they were fun!!) and i know just how busy you are this time of year. However if you could take the time to read through my list and fulfill at least a couple of my wishes it would be much appreciated.

  1. A 2010 Ford F150 Raptor

Or if that's too much trouble a 2009 Maserati Granturismo

Purely because i would look just a little bit cute driving either one!

2. My very own Carey Hart (minus Pink if possible)

That takes care of the big things now for a couple of smaller ones...

3. An Around the world ticket.

4. A king size bed.

5. Jewellery... I'm not fussed as long as its gold

Oh and world peace of course.

Well Santa that's about it, thanks again! Take care and remember my house is the the one that leaves the beer out instead of milk :)

p.s give my best to Mrs. Claus

pooper scooper...

I went Christmas light hunting last night... found some pretty awesome looking houses HOWEVER i cant find the cable for my damn camera so i cant upload the pics!! Seriously i have no idea where it could be, its as if it grew legs and walked away.... clearly pissed off!!! It doesn't fit anyones camera other then mine and i always put it back in the drawer i take it out of. I would almost put my life on it being moved by my mother who likes to "clean" and by "clean" i mean move everyones shit around so that they can no longer find it!! ANYONE LOOKING FOR A HOUSEMATE?!! I NEED OUT...(again)!!!
I seem to be having problems with things disappearing lately, like my 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall' DVD, i opened the cover to watch it the other day only to find the damn thing empty!
I'm starting to think someone or something has it in for me.
moving right along....
Today i was pleasantly suprised at work with a big bunch of flowers, a $100 gift card and a big lunch put on in honour of 10 years at my sucky job.
10 years... its a fairly big chunk of my life that i wish i could get back... i love the people i work with, i love my bogan customers who on a daily basis make me laugh to the point i cry ,but all in all the good times don't out way the bad. All i can think about now is finding a new job.
I cant wait to hand in my letter of resignation, then in my last paycheck not only get my last weeks pay, but 4 weeks annual leave and now after 10 years my long awaited 8 weeks long service leave... that will be a wonderful day.
Its late and tomorrow i will be back at the hell hole i call work.
if anyone sees my camera cable or my DVD for that matter please send them home immediately!!

YAMBUK SLIDE ROCKS MY JOCKS!

this is a long one but trust me the end is so worth it!
I have had the last week of work, which i might add was lovely!
I have no photos of my week away which is odd considering i can be somewhat of a camera whore.
Tuesday night we packed up the car and headed off to Portland, by we i mean Rai, Cailey, Steph and myself.
We stopped in Colac which is about 2 hrs from Melbourne and had McDonald's for dinner which always seems like a good idea at the time, but never such a good idea about an hour or so later.
As we got back into the car to continue driving we all decided that the following day we would go out to the dunes and go sand boarding which was an awesome idea until we realised none of us had boards... which probably isn't a problem because we could most likely borrow boards from someone... but what if by some random act of crapfulness we couldn't?!
Well...then the inner criminal in all of us needed to come out.
We decided by the time we hit Port fairy it would be dark enough to go on a little "FOR SALE" sign stealing rampage.
We stopped off in Warnambool for a quick toilet stop and to meet up with Johnno, Steve and one of their mates Ash, whilst discussing our little sign stealing plan it is decided that after that we should make our way to Yambuk to go down the massive slide there... TOP IDEA!!!
So we all head off in the direction of the Yambuk slide. We ended up in Port Fairy before the boys so we slowly stalked up and down the quiet streets of Port Fairy looking for some signs.... JACKPOT 3 signs all in a row!! SO out of the car jumps Rai, Steph and Cailey and very stealth like they begin to rip the signs off the front fences (i stayed in the car however for 2 reasons.. 1. someone had to put the signs into the car once they were off the fence and 2. last time i went sign stealing my friends and i got busted by the police! It was probably safer this way lol) Once all 3 signs are in the car the boys call telling us that they are dropping Steve off on the corner just before the caravan park because ash was sick and needed to go home but Steve didn't want to miss out on the slide... i know we are all adults yet we're so pumped for the slide! We pick Steve up, squish him in to the car and head off to Yambuk! Its about 11pm when we arrive and i shit you not this slide was huge! I'm shattered i didn't get a photo of it because it really was awesome.
Now of course going down the slide is fairly boring so to liven things up a little Steve put sand on it and then decided to go down it on one of the "FOR SALE" signs....
Seemed like a great idea, everyone (except me... signs, slides and sand would only end in disaster for me) started going down and by the time you hit the bottom you had picked up so much speed that landing without stacking was not an option. Rai Face planted twice which was hilarious... then came the last time.
Its so dark and all you can hear is Rai squealing as she comes down the slide. Then as she gets closer to the bottom and into the cars headlights she flys off the slide jamming her foot and yet again face planting, all you can hear is Rai laughing then as she slowly calms down a little "ouch".
After that i guess everyone came to their senses and we all got back into the car and kept on to Portland. By the time we arrive it was about 12.30am so we were dropped off at Rai's mums house where we went to bed.
The following day which was meant to be filled with sand boarding was spent lazing around and then at the Portland hospital, Rai was unable to walk to we figured the best thing to do was to head down to casualty. Now Portland isn't an overly big town so imagine my suprise when it took more then an hour to be seen by a nurse who tells us "yep its not broken but it looks like you have over stretched the ligaments... what size crutches do you need?" more then an hour for that?! are you kidding me?! So for the rest of the time Rai had to hobble around on a sweet pair of crutches. That night before bed i put egg white on her foot to help take the swelling out, she thought i was being stupid and that it would never work.... HA all i have to say is told you so!! Considering i am the queen of stacks as if i wouldnt know a good old home remedy! (thanks Zia sonia!) Wednesday night and Thursday were both spent visiting people... it the only thing i hate about going to Portland for such a short amount of time... i never get to see everyone and when i leave i feel bad!
Thursday night we headed out to the Iron Bar for a couple of drinks, luckily rai couldn't have any she was unco as it was on those damn crutches i highly doubt she could've stood up if she had any alcohol in her system.
It was a fairly low key night so we decided to go home. by 7am Friday morning we were back in the car on our way home. i thought it would be a smart idea to have a snooze on the way home...apparently not because i woke up with pink highlighter all over me... THANKS GUYS!!!
Friday night i went out to the greatest Japanese restaurant for dinner... everything is amazing every time i go.... OH makes me hungry just thinking about it.
Last night i had a BBQ on chapel street at Bangers new humble abode but considering i have all of a sudden developed this awesome chest infection i really wasn't in the mood so i came home early.
On my way home i received a text message from the first boy i can ever remember liking, I'm talking grade 2 so i was like 8 years old. We went to high school together where we actually dated in about 1999 but he ended up going to another school and we kept in contact as friends for a little while but after a while it stopped and that was pretty much it until about a year ago where i ran into him. Then recently he found me on face book and he asked for my number so we could catch up and because i still see some of our old friends we could all get together.... THIS IS WHERE THINGS GET COMPLICATED.
You see he recently got married... which is fine with me but when he asked for my number i told him that on the condition his WIFE didn't have a problem with it then i would happily catch up cos it had been so long, plus as far as i was concerned it was a group catch up. He then told me that his wife wouldn't have a problem with him catching up with old friends from school. I thought nothing of it.
So last night i get this text message saying "hey you, what you up to?"
i replied telling him where and what i was doing and asked him how he was.
A couple of just normal messages later i get one saying "when i saw you a year ago all i wanted to do was kiss you".... WHAT THE?!
so i wrote back "last time i saw you, you had a fiance now WIFE and a beautiful one at that, do you really think you should be saying things like that?"
His reply..."i know but i still have some sort of feelings for you. Why didn't we work out?"
Firstly i don't think that things when your 15-16 are meant to work out!
I pretty much told him i didn't think it was such a good idea to catch up... which really sucks. I would love to catch up with him and i know everyone else would, but i just don't feel comfortable putting myself in that sort of situation. I know i would never do anything but i think it would be wrong catching up with him after what he said.
I just can comprehend how you say things like that to someone other then your wife?
What the hell... i hope his wife doesn't go through his phone because although i didn't write anything that could be taken the wrong way he however did.
I haven't heard anything since but my friends have a big cricket game coming up against his cricket club which i was going to attend because its always the best game of the season, however now i think i might just have to avoid it.
awkward much?
